Privacy policy

When you join the roster we collect your name, your email address, your preferred language and the date you signed up. We do not ask for anything else, and reading the site does not require an account.

We use this information only to send you FedAfrica's publications and news of the project, in the language you chose. We process it because you gave your consent by ticking the box on the roster form.

The roster is stored in our own database, on a server that we administer. We do not use third-party newsletter, analytics or advertising services for it, and we do not sell your details or share them with anyone for marketing. Our hosting provider handles the data only technically, in order to run the server.

Until you ask us to remove it, or until the project ends.

The public website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. To prevent abuse of the sign-up form we briefly use your IP address to limit repeated submissions; it is not saved with your sign-up. Like most websites, our servers may keep short-term technical logs for security and troubleshooting.

You can ask us at any time to show you the data we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent whenever you wish. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
