Welcome to the Opinion Center
The part of FedAfrica where agreement is not required.
FedAfrica exists to make the case for the United States of Africa: one federation, built by Africans, for Africans. But a case that cannot survive disagreement is not a case; it is a slogan. So this forum opens with three honest positions on the path to unity, argued as strongly as each can be argued. All three are published as editorial opinion under FedAfrica Editorial. They are arguments, not reporting, and none of them speaks for every reader.
The federalist says the continent's problems are continental in scale, and only a democratically chosen federation matches them.
The gradualist says unity must be built in things people can use, such as payments, trade and movement, before it is built in constitutions.
The skeptic says cooperation among independent states is a destination in its own right, and the burden of proof lies with those who would pool sovereignty.
Read them. Argue with them. Then take the argument to your campus, your timelines, your group chats, and bring back the best objections you hear. The rules of this forum are simple: argue in good faith, respect the people you disagree with, and check your facts. Young Africans are the constituency this debate is really about: your opportunity, your mobility, your voice. The floor is yours.
